I think most of us realize that it always comes down to guaranteed money and signing bonuses but they gave out a lot of guarantees with these deals. I don't have issues with overpaying a player or two in free agency if you are getting players that are at the top of their position but I don't think any of these players are what I would call that. I think the Patriots could make a run for the playoffs but their chances largely depend on if the Bills are for real or take a step back and they certainly aren't going to get to a Super Bowl with Newton as QB.
