No it was a highlight reel goal because it deserved to be one. He walked Gudbranson one on one, and deked it past the goaltender for a very slick finish. His skills might have deteriorated with age, but he’s still a very skilled power forward and a proven playoff performer. Even in a bottom 6 role he’s still very effective. It’d be like having a poor man’s Matthew Tkachuk on the 3rd or 4th line and instead of him haunting the Flames, he could be helping the Flames.
Can’t believe I didn’t include no goals or points Joakim Nordstrom, but I’d easily take Corey Perry over him too.
