Every team these days has strong centers, strong wingers, good puck moving defense, a good mixure of youth at veteran skill... there's little that separates teams talent-wise.
When Tavares left the Islanders, and they
improved, it was at least partially a result of a coaching change.
A coach might not turn the Sabres into a contender, but I have to imagine someone like Boudreau could get them looking competitive.
