Rage Against the Machine, probably. While I didn't totally understand the message they were trying to relay a 7 or 8 years old I loved the hard music and still love Morello's style of guitar. The idea of "the space between the notes" is still amazing to me. Being the only kid in my class actually allowed to listen to "Killing in the Name Of" was pretty sweet.

Being 16 when I finally realized that I recognized the voice in Know your Enemy.
