I would do that. I am probably in the minority, but I don't think Philly has to add anything on top of Konecny. He is younger, cheaper, and signed for several more years. Plus he shoots right which is a major bonus.
He might not have to exact same production ceiling as Gaudreau, but Gaudreau is entering his typical peak years and Konecny still has that ahead of him, so that might change fairly soon.
I know to beware of highlight reels, but looking at them, they don't seem to be all that different of players. He might be a little more of a north-south kind of player and likes to get in the goalie's face (not a bad thing, just not as flashy), but puck handling and shooting accuracy seem almost identical.
