I argue that Gaudreau is a very "Sutter type". The #1 thing Sutter demands is hard work. Johnny has not had a coach like Darryl before playing in a system like this before. He is a very intelligent player, and I argue it is rare to see him just 'dogging it'. I think he will fit in just fine.
Gaudreau is much more a Sutter player than James Neal is, for instance.
I am not really worried about any of the players not fitting in. Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of players in the dog house, but I bet this team buys-in. Tonight's win helps that process along - not just the win itself, but they get to actually see how good they were playing in getting that win for a change. Most if not all are going to buy-in and stay committed, and I think Gaudreau is not one I worry about.
