I'm a football fan so I will watch whether it's 3 down or 4 down and I expect others will as well (not all but many will come back). The TV ratings for the XFL weren't horrible so you add casual US fans in the mix and you could end up with a prosperous league and even a Canada vs US rivalry where the best Canadian team faces the best US team for the Grey Cup annually. I feel the league really needs to start focussing on the long term future sooner than later and this opportunity will not likely come again. Not saying it has to happen but I'm happy they are at least investigating the option.

Want to kill the CFL? I’m convinced that going to American rules will do that. You’ll lose the core fan base - people like me who love the Canadian game and (I believe) will leave.
