I remember in 1991 going on a road trip with a buddy and we each had a cassette suitcase of 30 cassettes each. I think we did listen to everything at least once. quite a few songs form trips like that where you hear the song and it instantly transports you back to that moment in time.

Had my walkman when backpacking in Australia when younger. that was tough to decide which mixtapes to take as I didn't have tons of room to spare.

man I don't know how many hours I spent getting records form the library so I could put them on cassette.

I got rid of almost all of my cassettes. Kept about a dozen for nostalgia.
also before I threw them out, I took out the paper inserts in all my mix tapes, so I'd always know what I had.

my very first cassette tapes I bought were Masters of Metal Volume 1 & 2.
I still have them.
