I'm sure they would have won the division (god I hope so given how historically bad it was) if he didn't get hurt but we aren't talking about a QB that single handedly wins games for his teams. He's good in that system with all that surrounding talent but he's eclipsed 4000 yards just once and if you look at his stats he's not even as accomplished as a guy like Kirk Cousins. He plays in Dallas so just like average Leafs players are put on a pedestal for the market they play in so is he because if he played in say Carolina I hardly think he's getting this contract. I'm not calling him a bad QB as I think he's a top 15 QB but contracts like this screw up everything for teams that have QB's like Prescott that aren't elite but will now expect elite money.

Im not defending Prescotts deal, and while the bolded is true, it had nothing to do with Daks play....in fact it was in spite of it.

In the first 4 games last year, the Cowbys put up 126 pts on offense. That is 31.5 pts a game. On any normal team that translates to 4-0, or at worst 3-1.

The Cowboys early season defense was literally on pace to be the worst to ever play in the NFL.

Thats not on Dak or anyone on offense, that is crosshairs on the defense, the DC and McCarthy for allowing it to continue.
