Hahaha . . . . no.
A newspaper might derive only about 25% of its revenue from selling you a copy. The other 75% or so might come from advertising. Its a little more complicated these days but you get the idea.
Similarly, advertisers for a site like this might be interested in the demographic age of people like yourself viewing it and position advertising to take advantage of you coming here.
E-Bay would take a cut of transactions or charge a fee to list a product . . . . like those bank machines in 7-11 that charge you $1.50 to use them even if you are accessing cash at another bank.
So there are various ways money can be made via a website, even one where you don't pay for content.
