When I worked at Future Shop in the early 90's their morning meetings/pump up segments were almost religious in nature. and at times absurd. Morning cheers, big pump up speeches from the managers.

When I moved into the management training it became even worse. I at one point went to the Head Office to interview for a buyers job, and they were doing those meetings there too. Honestly I was just there to make a crap load of money, which I did. But everything was regimented, there was very little creativity, and working at Future Shop was designed to make you feel like you were on the crest of this great world domination machine. Um til they went to the States and tried to compete with the big box movers there.
