I bought a Daikin 80,000 BTU 98% furnace and SEER 14 2.5 Ton AC last year after getting ~6 different quotes for $8,000 flat after tax after some haggling.
There is a huge variety in quotes, and a lot of the cheapest quotes I saw skimped on certain items (5" filters, UV sterilizer, correct AC drainage/piping, internalized AC coils, etc.) and this was the best one I could get that met all my criteria.
