I know the rules, but where you and differ is the application of those rules, particularly surrounding VAR. Let's take offside. I know what offside is, and it's fine, but the application of offside with VAR is questionable. They stop the frame and draw a line that is one pixel wide, and that's great. But they don't apply that same accuracy to the point where the ball is passed. And that's where you get this ridiculous issue. They're calling players offside by a very small amount, but there is no control as to when they're adjudicating that small amount. So, it's not a question of whether I know the rule; I do. It's the application of that rule that I object to, because it's not right.
And of course we could get into handball and whether goals should be called back on some of those. Or whether penalties ought to be awarded. Frankly, they've changed this through the season. Penalties we saw awarded for handball at the beginning of the season aren't being awarded now because they've changed that interpretation. I think that's bush league, because those penalties have significant impact. They cost teams points, obviously impact goal differential and by the end of the season that's potentially enormous.
Anyway...you can carry on claiming to be to the one authority on the rules, and it makes no difference to me. If there appears to be confusion though, it's because of the varied interpretation and a lot of that falls to VAR in my opinion.
