Looks like the same player to me. Low end offensive skill, most goals by grinding. He’s always been able to make the obvious pass. Sam Bennett is not a bad player, he’s just not an offensive player. Even looking at his playoff goals last year many of them were hardworking goals, and some could even be considered lucky. The sooner he realizes what makes him an effective player (cycling, grinding, hitting), he would be a really solid 3rd liner for the rest of his career. Otherwise he’s an enigma who thinks he is an elite offensive player and just isn’t anything of the sort.
