Sounds like your neighbor might have had enough of the turds in your yard and didn’t care about the flag interfering with your view.
Now i think you’re the problem not your neighbors flag.

I actually laughed out loud at this. There's a 6 foot fence separating us, and you might be able to see 10 feet of my yard from his deck, which is a flower bed.
How much do you guys think a dog craps? There might be 5 poops to pick up every 3 or 4 days when you factor in the times they do their business on walks. I don't know a single dog owner that picks up every turd the second a dog drops it. It's less messy to wait a day for it to dry and your not smearing wet crap into your grass.
At least I had the courage and balls to actually talk to the guy face to face, I admittedly handled it very poorly and that's where it went off the rails. I don't regret approaching him, I regret approaching him with bad info and losing my cool. What's even funnier, is the people here too gutless to actually tell someone they don't like something their neighbor is doing.
The whole point of the original post, which a lot of you seem to ignore, is pick your words wisely and have your powder dry, and I didn't. What do you think your neighbour is going to think? Oh some guy 2 streets over complained about my dog poop in my fenced in yard. There is 2 possibilities, left or right, you might as well have the courage to own the gripe, instead of potentially throwing the other neighbour under the bus too.
Or....... you can be spineless, and call the turd police.
