I don't like the fact this gives the players yet another hall pass, but it would be the spineless, short sighted move that likely saves Treliving's job for the time being provided he replaces Ward with someone who has more pull than the current staff (Budreau, Daryll, Julien etc).

I’d like to see all three + Tre.
Have Tre fire Ward, it’s his mess. Then bring in an interim GM and coach - maybe D Sutter could be a 2021 Al MacNeil to hold the Fort for the season (maybe more). I do feel this team is a bit like that 2001-2 Flames. Some good players but they sure are discombobulated.
Take the time to get a great GM who can then hire a great coach.
Give us fast hard working hockey in the meantime, while they get the group sorted.
