Any professional Coach would have shortened the bench at that moment and put the top line out again to tighten the noose. Ward then puts the fourth line out again for the first shift after the TV timeout. Effectively leaving the top line on the bench for roughly six minutes ensuring that they were cold before they went out again. Penalty taken all momentum lost and you can thank the coach for it.
