Treliving has made mistakes, but I really like what he has been trying to do with this team.

Though I am on the side that Treliving shouldn't be fired, it isn't much of an excuse not to do it. Yes, the pandemic is an issue, but there will be 31 other teams making moves in the off-season, and the expansion draft will be happening as well. As for being unfamiliar, every new GM (with the exception of existing management getting promoted into that role) will be unfamiliar with the roster.

Sometimes a fresh set of eyes and a new plan is what a team needs. At some point, attention must be paid to the results of the team and tough decisions made. I am all for Treliving staying on as the GM, but I am personally running out of excuses as to why I feel this way. My only answer is that the next hire might be another Feaster.

We are all held accountable to our jobs in life, and we all have to take responsibility when things don't go well. In 7 years, this team sure has accumulated more talent, but they still haven't even reached the status of 'perennial playoff team', much less 'Cup Contender'.

I am finding it more and more difficult to support the argument that Treliving is a good GM and should be retained. I am still hopeful he makes whatever moves he can to turn this franchise around, but he is ultimately responsible for every single player and coaching staff, so he is just as accountable as anyone else - probably the most accountable really.
