He’s widely considered to be one of the top 5 young centres in the league. He’s up there with McDavid, MacKinnon, Mathews, Draisatl. Perhaps it’s too early to say he’s arguably one of the best players in franchise history, but I don’t think it’s a stretch to say he’s going to be as impactful as LaFontaine, Mogilny, Housley, or even Perrault. I think that’s the trajectory he’s on, and I don’t think I’m alone.
The proposed trade was Eichel for Monahan and two firsts. I don’t think that is remotely close to what it is going to take.
For the sake of argument, should the Flames trade Tkachuk for a second line C and two, presumably, late first round picks?....yeah, right.
