There’s no way the flames should be moving Tkachuk. I would retain half of Johnny’s salary and move him to a contender for pieces Buffalo wants and do the same with Gio. Then package those pieces with Monahan for Eichle. If we have to add some picks as a sweetener, so be it. If Eichle is available you move heaven and earth to aquire him while changing the team’s culture and eliminating the chance of losing someone of value in the expansion draft.
