I’d have been really leery of Carter who I lost respect for for his play in Columbus. He purposely played badly so he’d be traded.

Not every one is perfect. LA brought in two party boys in Richards and Carter and won with them. Sometime you need to take a chance.
Treliving seems to play it on the safe side. Which in theory can be great. But this team is not improving and it's actually about to implode with decisions on Johnny and Tkachuk's futures.
He is in on all the big players but never completes the transaction. Too much $$$, too rich a trade ask, always something.
This team does not currently have a capable top line. We've seen one line teams in the past, but this is just a new low.
Meanwhile Josh Anderson and Tyler Toffoli move. So does PLD. And a few others lesser names.
PLD and Anderson would take kahoons to to go after because both have some question marks. But these two guys could reshape a team.
