I don't believe the Treliving/Sutter comparison is that difficult.
If he is gone tomorrow, BT will have left the team in better shape than Sutter. However, he was not able to accomplish what Sutter did in his tenure. So depends how much you weight you place on those two things. Sutter gets my vote personally.
There's also the style issue. The two men have very different styles and approaches and that understandably weighs into the evaluation for some people.
