The movie was pretty good but a step down from the book naturally, leaving the best bits out (the waterfall scene showed up in the Lost World).
Both the sequel to the book and the movie were terrible. I don't know why Crichton did not build on the suggestion he wrote at the end of Jurassic Park that the procompsognathids had made it to the mainland. And the whole backtracking on the T-Rex not having visual acuity for motion was a bit silly too. It won't hurt you if you stay still in the first one but not the second one? Dumb.
But yeah the original was great. Love the book.

Oh right, I vaguly remember that now, with them standing in a line facing one direction or something, slowly migrating.
I can't quite remember the waterfall, or maybe I cna.. now have some weird memory..
Ah well, glad to see other people liked that book as much.
