To make matters worse, my best friend was the kid who's parents were rolling in it.
• Lakefront cottage plus waterskiing boat
• Sega in the car, Dreamcast at home, new computer in the bedroom
• Cable TV and two home theatre setups (we had one TV and 6 channels haha)
• Weekly trips to the city and regular restaurant meals
I do remember his family drank 1% milk though, which at the time I thought tasted like water (we drank 2% so small luxuries I guess?)

Yeah, for a few years I had the least amount of money compared to any of my friends and that sucked. Now, when I take my daughter and her friends to the mall I always give all of them $20 because I know her friends aren't as well off and I want them to be able to enjoy themselves and buy a little something and grab lunch, too.
