That’s just more of the same. He never takes accountability for any coaching decision he makes.
It’s either an excuse or he tries to pass the blame to the player. He did it with the whole Bennett choosing his own position thing, and even tried to do it when he pulled talbot last year, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say “I was outcoached” or “I need to be better” after a loss.
Of all the things he’s terrible at, it’s actually the one that frustrates me the most. Not being able to take accountability is just a sign of a horrible leader and would be frustrating as a player to play for a guy like that.
Like Markstrom came out after carrying the team for 6 weeks last game and took accountability for the loss. Ward has not done that once in his time as head coach going back to last season.
Honestly no idea how Treliving thought this guy was the right guy for the job.
