It’s not about what Bennett feels, though.
He is reasonable if he is frustrated, given how his work last playoffs, and the Flames’ subsequent lip service, translated in to opportunity this season
He is reasonable if his agent during a conversation became aware that he was open to different options if the Flames had no plan for his career advancement
The counter to your statement is to take that reasonable context and prove to me that he advised his agent to pick up Friedman’s call and go public with something that was apparently news to Treliving
Maybe Bennett was frustrated enough to be okay with his agent advocating for him
But as for how the agent goes about it?
This is a situation where people are placing their own goalposts for sure, then building their indignance based on the placing of their own goalposts
