Looks like they are going to start on the NE leg of the road this spring, and have that part done by 2009.

Frustrated commuters in the city's northeast will soon see their road rage lessened as a portion of Calgary's new ring road will be open to traffic by 2009, the province announced yesterday.

The 21-km stretch of highway will extend Stoney Trail eastward from Deerfoot Trail to 17 Ave. S.E., with the $950-million public private partnership (P3) set to begin construction in April.
