(2017 Penguins did too, but they were playing without their #1 defenseman and sort of had no choice)
It’s a shot at people who don’t just disagree with a coaching decision, but say it’s so crazy no one would do it. And those whose criticisms don’t even match the play on the ice. Like people who say he coaches dump and chase. This team doesn’t dump and chase, and when they do it’s more successful than the skate the puck in style they actually use.

It is a passive defensive style, and yes, you can criticize that. But let’s not pretend it’s idiotic, when half the coaches in the league do it.
