We keep hearing how 'tight' the room is, I agree with Warrener that's BS. Something stinks with this team and I don't see how that just works itself out and they go on to be perennial contenders.
Time to really shake the core up. This team is 'tight' like old retired guys going golfing, not 'tight' like soldiers going to battle.
If they come out flat tonight, Ward should lose his god damn marbles on the team, and be all sweaty and red in the face to start the 2nd period. Wishful thinking I know.
Or a fight at practice or something I don't know. I'm so sick of hearing the talk. It's getting really old. Do your talking on the ice, how hard is that?

I get the sentiment behind statements like this, you want to see some emotional response from this team, you want a sign that this team cares. Unfortunately we have seen multiple coaches publicly scold this team, multiple team meetings, hundreds of player interviews saying "we need to be better" etc, press gatherings during off seasons saying things like "full forensic audit", honestly the list goes on. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING, is going to change the results of this team until there are substantial changes made in the locker room. Not a coach rant, or another team meeting, or a fight at practice or whatever. The make up of this team is fundamentally flawed, both in the locker room and on the ice. Until substantial changes are made with the core elements of this team ie, Gaudreau, Monahan, Giordano, Bennett, Tkachuk, Lindholm then we will continue to see the same pedestrian results comprised of lackluster efforts, and ultimately an exhaustingly boring product.
I, like you, would love to cheer for a team that works its ass off and sticks up for one another. This team is the antithesis of this and it's embarrassing.
