The problem is that the probability that the owners and management do what you are hoping for, during this season, is slim.
Not with the roster as assembled, more reduced team budgets restricting the trade market, and COVID implications.
I believe strongly that an opportunity to re-shape the roster comes in the off-season and with upcoming big decisions regarding Johnny, Monahan and Tkachuk - this off-season is critical.
But nothing that happens during this season, is going to tip the team to alter the current course in this season.
So might as well hope for wins. Because the outcome you are hoping a loss to create is really unlikely
(In addition a weak draft if it happens at all, reduced motivation to blow it up even more).
