I always respected how solidly consistent he was.
Age is catching up. What made him so good was his level of compete/intensity, winning battles, joining the rush. I think these can take a hit as he ages. Cerebral, strong positioning based defenders, typically age better at this stage of their careers.

That being said, even when he struggles, his effort level is never in question.
