Definitely need a new coach, but who in their right mind would come to this ####e show! Especially as they will know that JG will be off sooner rather than later and its now looking like our highest paid star has decided its not worth the effort to play for the rest of his team mates. Right now e is not worth 4m a year let alone 8m. What's he going to ask for as an RFA. He will be off to pastures new as soon as he can organise it.
The teams GM has had years now to decide if the current core is capable of winning the Stanley Cup and quite frankly its been obvious for the last 3 years that they are simply not good enough. Teams have worked out how to play our first line when it comes to the playoffs and our top paid man also disappears.
Time to move on from JG and get the best return you can for him, before he walks. I would also be looking at the 8M dollar man and trying to work out whether to keep him or move him on. With careful trading there is no reason why they should not be able to get some good pieces that actually may take this team forward quite quickly.
