That might have happened had COVID-19 not created so many obstacles to making deals. We know for a fact that Treliving was in the mix for Pierre Lucic Dubois, so I am pretty sure he also sees exactly where this team needs a shakeup. I don't believe for a second that anyone in management is duped by pre-existing issues.

And yes, I'm prepared to see just enough victories over the next few months to get us into 4th place. If this team wins a round, they might get my attention, but I'm not going to allow myself to become too invested again. Though even if we do win a round, if we ever have to play Vegas or Colorado? Yikes. Might close my eyes for that one. And there lies the problem.

I guess we will see what happens. I think the Flames beat the Stars in the first round last year had Markstrom been in goal.

The goal is to win championships, not squeak into the playoffs and become fodder. To jump down this posters' throat for an opinion is ridiculous. Especially considering you all know deep down his opinion is correct.

I am not jumping down anyone's throat because of an opinion. I am rolling my eyes HARD at how some of these opinions are projected following a Flames win on the road while playing without their #2 centre.

I'd like to be a contender, or a team that's on the path to being one. Right now, we're neither.

That is just the cycle of sports, though. It is completely unrealistic to expect every team to either be contending or rebuilding. This is the group that is going to play out the season; if you are a fan, why not enjoy as much of it as you can?
