But this also assumes that there is a realistic alternative. The Flames have a core group of players in their mid-twenties, and just signed a UFA goalie to a six-year deal. Like it or not, this is the team for the foreseeable future. It makes no sense to me that a fan would whine and bitch about wins in a situation like this.
Also, I am pretty confident that the Flames can win a playoff round or two in the Canadian Division.
