Yes, his overpowering the Canucks in the high slot in a puck battle he had no business winning, and of course the board work...but just before that, Hughes heard the footsteps of Lucic coming and quickly and weakly threw the puck around the boards when it should've really gotten out.
As long as that line gets possession and on a roll, it is a good fit. Sam needs to think less and just do things, and a cycle or forecheck is ideal. Lucic can't physically do what he did before, so that cycle and forecheck works for his abilities, and Dube is just as aggressive and gets in the dirty areas.
No way that shift occurs or goal goes in with Backlund centering any of those 2 guys.
