Well, that plus the fact that they go backwards and KEEP it in their own end even when they have a chance to get it out.
The effort is there. The style of play is
1) brutal
2) not the right style for the team
Why does Lucic look like one of our best players? Because this style actually suits him.

Nope. I'm not talking about systems or what they do in their own end, I'm talking about effort and pressure when they have the puck in the offensive zone. Skating, hitting, pressure, intensity.
I know, I know........it's always Geoff Ward's fault for everything, but it is amazing when the players actually play with the intensity they are capable of that positive things happen.
