Personally, I'm of the belief that both are serious flight risks, and that neither will be worth the AAV's they get on their next contracts, so I'm all for trading either (or both) if it makes the team better in the long run.
It is nice to see Johnny having a resurgence though, that way if he does have to be moved, Treliving can maximize his value hopefully.

Can you point out one sharp pointy stick at Tkachuk here? Maybe I’m misreading it, but it seems to me everybody is in agreement that he’s a great part of the team. The harshest criticisms have been: not the best forward on the team, $9mil av seems like overpaying, and he may not be best suited to be a captain.
