Sounds like Whedon's issues are well known in the industry. I will say that my friend who works in the Hollywood scene mentions lots of instances where directors/producers/executives are #######s, and that he had heard lots about Whedon being a dick. I think Hollywood in general needs to work on toxic workplace culture in general, not specific to Whedon.

I think it's very telling that in Gunn's case, actors who had worked with him very vocally demanded he should be re-hired. That's pretty unusual.
