What are your expectations? About .5ppg should be about the absolute max. Micheal Ferland scored 25 points and 41 points in seasons he played with Johnny and Sean.
Bennett is not a Lindholm-quality player. He’s a Ferland quality player. He’s the third wheel. He’s the complimentary player.
In the 3 games, I think he’s been solid enough. It’ll be interesting to see what it looks like after a 10 game sample. If he has 4 points, that’s pretty good. 3 points while the team keeps piling up the wins and his two line mates continue to produce? Good enough.

Since the beginning of last year the Flames (now it would equal a full season) have employed 21 different forwards.
These are the guys Bennett (.22) has a higher ppg than
Buddy Robinson (.20)
Tobias Reider (.18)
Josh Leivo (.17)
Mark Jankowski (.13)
Alan Quine (.11)
Joakim Nordstrom (0.0)
Dominik Simon (0.0)
Rinaldo, Czarnik, and Froese are among guys ahead of him
He is 9th in ice time of the 21...by nearly 200 minutes compare to the next guy on that list
Sam has looked good/OK on the SM line the last 3 games(though i thought he struggled a bit last night even if he wasnt alone in that) but there is still much more to contribute and i am not sure that 4 pts every 10 games is really a great bench mark. Nor even that attainable considering his NHL scoring history.
I will say though that after all that he might still be the best option on the roster now, but that goes towards another massive issue on this team as constructed...a complete dearth of even decent RW/RS options.
He has a tremendous opportunity right now but he has to produce. 1 pt every 3 games is not that.
Here is to hoping something clicks and the whole line goes bonkers offensively though. The Canucks should be a good tonic for that.
