I don't believe there is any chance for a conviction, but I also think the current devastating rehearsal of evidence for the Democrat's case is very important. I saw someone on the news last night suggesting that while the case may not result in swaying Senate opinions, it realistically could have a detrimental effect on Trump's own public approval rating, and effectively make it impossible for him to win another federal election.
For me, I think it is important for posterity. This record is permanent, and future generations will have this to reflect on in the evaluations of the past and plans for the future. That's important.
