For me, I'd feel bad for the athletes, but I honestly think with China holding two Canadian hostages for more then 2 years, the actions in Hong King, And the genocide and concentration camps for the Uyghurs, there's no way that Canada or any Western world nation should attend. Maybe this is the only way the slap the CCP in the face.

Athletics needs to take a back seat.
