Winnipeg (7-3-1) @ Calgary (5-5-1) — SNW/TSN3 and SN960
So, it is after 0900 PT, and there is no game day thread yet. How disappointing.
Calgary looks to avenge a frustrating three-game set in Winnipeg by holding court at the Saddledome tonight. Coming off of a solid win over their blue-haired, entitled provincial step-sister that puts the Flames at 3-2-0 at home, they look to improve on this number before embarking on eight of their next ten on the road.
Tonight, they welcome the new-look Winnipeg Jets, who are expected to have Pierre-Luc Dubois in the lineup for the first time this season. This also marks the first time the Jets have left Winnipeg since 21 February, and only the second time they have had to travel this season. After enjoying eight of their first eleven games at home the Jets will test their mettle to see if they can notch a road-win against a team outside of Ottawa. They will be tasked with doing so in a building in which they have only a single S/O win since 2014 (1-6-0).
The practice lines from yesterday were the same as from Saturday's game:
Tkachuk · Lindholm · Dube
Gaudreau · Monahan · Bennett
Lucic · Backlund · Mangiapane
Nordstrom · Froese · Leivo
Giordano · Andersson
Hanifin · Tanev
Valimaki · Nesterov
Markstrom is likely to get the start. Derek Ryan remains on LTIR, and there is a possibility of Brent Ritchie or Dominic Simon drawing in for someone on the fourth line.
Winnipeg will play some guys and they will all look awful. Paul Maurice will probably cry again.
