The Kadri deal
The Hall deal
The Zucker deal

The Hall deal was never really that close. It just leaked that the Flames made an aggressive hockey deal that made them second guess doing the Arizona deal. Hindsight I am glad that deal fell through as the Flames wanted an extension in place which would have been pre-Covid and likely has them in tough to sign Markstrom. I am also happy we still have Hanifin.
Zucker sounded okay at the time but we are not really sure what happens there. Sounds like the Wild had something on their end get screwed up at the last minute. With how decent the Pelletier pick looks today I am happy it also fell through.
The Kadri deal is a kick in the nuts because Brodie is a Leaf anyway and Jankowski was bad enough to not be qualified. This one stings the most in failed trades.
I get your point though. We are always rumored to be in the mix and we haven’t seen that huge trade many are craving since the Hamilton deal coming up on 3 years ago. Having said that in 2 of the 3 examples I am happy it worked out the way it did.
