I would be so pissed off if I was Columbus.
I get that mistakes happen, but they should have removed the goal at the start of the next period, and 1:15 should have been added to the clock to make up for the Jackets being shorthanded after failing to win the challenge.
Maybe I am missing something obvious, but why wouldn't they just do that? It's not like they made the decision based on the available tapes at the time and other footage was found later to counter the decision. They actually looked at the wrong replay and made their decision looking at the wrong footage. So I don't think it is a slippery slope argument where decisions will often get overturned after intermission.
The officials screwed up, plain and simple. Pretty bush league to not rectify it at the time.
