Don't be fooled by what's going on right now: Montreal and Toronto look like they are a clear top-two, but the Jets are very much in the same mix with Calgary and Edmonton.

They’ve also put this record together mostly without the services of Patrik Laine or Pierre Luc Dubois. The potential of Sheifele, Dubois, Stastny up the middle for 50 minutes sounds frightening. They basically have a team built like the Flames right now but better. One timers from everywhere, more playmakers, fantastic role players, Vezina winning goaltender, good coaching, excellent GM, outstanding scouting. Really, their only weakness might be on defense, but they’re defending well by committee and Morrissey is legit.
I’m not saying the Flames couldn’t beat them in a playoff series again, but compared to last summer, it would be infinity more difficult.
