Yea, I have zeeeeero problem with people criticizing the commentary team. Last night was beyond horrible.
I like Ball, but Cassie Campbell, and to just a bit less lesser degree, Kelly Hrudey, are torture to listen to. Half the game I find myself saying "thanks tips", "thanks for stating the obvious as if I don't have eyes", "please, just s*** the f*** up", etc.. It's truly horrible to listen too. And I'm someone who likes the sound, so watching the game on mute is a no-go.
I'm pretty 50/50 with Singh. Sometimes he's okay, if not even a little good to listen to, but other nights like last night, are just cringe-worthy to listen to.
With that said, it's obviously a very difficult job and I would be 1000× worse at it, but they put themselves in that position so it's completely open game to be critical of them.
The Flames have a bottom 3 commentary team in the entire NHL, if not the worst.
