She doesn’t know what to do so she talks too much but has no rapport with her PBP counterpart so she talks too much and usually gets it wrong. Hrudey knows when to analyze the play and when to add to the broadcast by making the viewer feel comfortable. He’s actually a phenomenal colour guy in his regard.
It’s the hardest job in tv sports, colour. Harder than pbp because it involves breaking down what happened, not just relaying it and describing it like the PBP person does.
I’ve never heard another colour guy/gal who sounded equally uncomfortable in their 50th appearance as they did in their first, and that’s Cassie.
Charlie Simmer sucked and was boring but at least he never sounded like an awkward high school AV club person on their first ever broadcast.

Gladly, some of us disagree. Cassie is a breather of fresh air compared to the majority of the talking heads.
