Hey guys, its getting to that time of year where Fishing trips are getting planned, or are already planned. I was just wondering how many anglers we have here at CP and where your fav place to fish is?

My buddies and I are just getting into the annual fishing trip, we've gone three years in a row to Thompson Camps on Otter Lake. A lot of people here have probably flown out of that area, Missinipe, something we plan to do this year. I really like Otter because it is so big you can go anywhere, but the fish are very small, we want to try something bigger.

Could anyone recommend an affordable fly in fishing camp that they have themselves experienced? I have been googling a lot but most of the ones I come across are around the 2-3k American price, thats a bit more than we want to spend. We tend to drink as much as we fish so we'd like to keep it around the $1500 Canadian mark if at all possible. Fully catered etc.. isn't needed, or wanted, we like to cook our own meals on our own time. We aren't a big fan of guided fishing tours either, so these pricy lodges don't really appeal to us even if we wanted to sped that much.

Also I should mention it doesn't HAVE to be fly in, but it seems like most of the good fishing spots are.
