I enjoyed the hell out of that game, even with the Flames not looking ideal in the first, I never felt like they were really out of it or on their heels. It felt more like a rope-a-dope to me. We know where the Oilers are weak, it was a matter of containing the top 2 guys (I thought the Flames played McDavid really solid for the most part) and waiting for the inevitable defensive breakdown and weak goaltending. When it arrived, the Flames exploited both.

I thought the top 6 was solid, Johnny was great again, it was Backs best game of the season, and Monahan had a quiet, solid 200 ft game. I thought the third line was good, and contributed in a positive way. The fourth line didn't hurt the Flames and that's all I ask. The Flames have an excellent backend and it showed tonight. Marky was Marky, he's awesome.

I've decided to stay away, for the most part, from the GT threads. They've become so toxic and negative it detracts from my enjoyment of the game. The PGT's are now doing the same.

This forum has a subset of posters who insist on bringing negativity and hostility to every part of the community and that's ruining it.

I don't come here to listen to you piss and moan about every little thing that rubs you the wrong way, or the player who really don't like. I don't come here to listen to you virtue signal and call people out for slights they haven't made (for the record Cassie Campbell isn't great at her job, last night was especially bad, and it has nothing to do with her gender), nor do I come here for one poster attacking another poster constantly. I come here to spend time with folks who love the team I love, for the community.

I get it, the world is a ####hole right now, most folks are struggling in one way or another. I am too, I haven't seen a paycheque since last September. But I don't come here to complain about that or anything else. I come here to escape that.

And, if it's going to be all about rage, hate, judgement and abuse, then I'm out. I'm done with it.

I believe in free speech, I would never tell you what you can or can't say. I'm telling you where I stand and where my line is.

I think Bingo and the mods need to have a conversation. And I think some of the valued members to think about why they come here and what they bring.
