Yes it would be silly to risk an injury if a trade was close. Especially if we were talking about a decent return in a trade. But I have read a lot of people say they don't think the return will be very much because 1 point and -5.
Meanwhile last game vs Jets was a huge game and tonight's is even bigger if we don't want to lose another 4 point game. Why wouldn't we be icing the best lineup?
The whole league knows he is on the trading block. There is no leverage in hiding it...
especially if you are holding him out of the lineup.
So why not be straightforward and say "we'd love to have Bennett in the lineup but trade talk is heating up so we need to keep him out for the good of the organization"
